Synopsis

Bound to Everest is the gripping tale of Haley Ercanbrack’s trial by fire on Mt. Everest during one of the most devastating earthquakes in Nepal’s history. When the earthquake strikes, Haley is thrown into a maelstrom of survival and despair. Bracing for what she believes to be her final moments, she whispers “game over” to herself, expecting the end. Minutes stretch into eternity before she opens her eyes and realizes she has survived. Relief is fleeting, however, as she soon discovers her father, Randall, is critically ill, stricken with altitude sickness and teetering on the edge of death.

Stranded at Camp 2, with rescue impossible due to the devastation and cloudy weather, Haley must fight against the odds. Administering oxygen to her father while listening to his labored breaths, she faces the agonizing reality that each moment could be their last. In this crucible of fear and hope, Haley discovers a wellspring of resilience and unyielding love.

Seven years later, Haley returns to Everest, drawn not by unfinished dreams but by the need to reconcile with the mountain and herself. Beneath its towering shadow, she rediscovers the strength and transformation forged in those harrowing days. This journey allows her to transcend the pain, to evolve into someone no longer defined by the need to prove herself, and to embrace life fully—including the courage to open her heart to love once more.
